How to Make Your iPhone Ringer Louder

One of the most aggravating aspects of owning a cell phone is missing a telephone call. There are many reasons why you might miss a phone call, but it is especially frustrating when the low volume of your ringer causes you to miss an important call. If you own an iPhone, you may have experienced missing phone calls due to the surprisingly low ringer volume. When you have a high-tech cell phone like the iPhone, you expect it to properly notify you of incoming calls. However, due to the iPhone's lower than normal ringer volume, many people are missing calls. So, what can you do to increase the iPhone's ringer volume?

Many iPhone owners believe that the reason for the low ringer volume is the small speakers on the device. It makes sense that smaller speakers would result in lower volume, right? While this may seem like a valid explanation for the iPhone's low volume, it may not be the actual cause. The main cause of the extremely low ringer volume may be the audio levels in your phone. Many people have found that the stock ringers on their iPhones have a very low volume. To fix this issue, you may need to find new ringtones instead of using the ones already on your iPhone.

The main reason for the quietness of the ringtones is the fact that they are made with a low frequency. Therefore, if you want a louder ringtone, you need to find one with a higher frequency. This may sound challenging, but you can easily find a higher frequency ringtone on your computer. If you own a Mac, you can use the Garage Band application to find a new ringtone. The "Cell Phone Ringing" sound clip from Garage Band is particularly recommended.

However, adding a new ringtone to your iPhone requires some effort on your part. To do this, you need to use iFunstastic if you have an Intel-Mac, or iPhoneRingToneMaker or iBrickr if you are using a Windows PC. These applications will install the ringtones from your computer onto your iPhone, allowing you to have a clearly audible ringtone.

The key to a successful ringtone is selecting one that is naturally loud by default. This will increase the sound volume and ensure that you never miss another call because you didn't hear it. When you own an iPhone, you want to enjoy every aspect of it. However, if the volume is lower than desired, you won't be able to fully enjoy your iPhone.
